Problem

The University of Bergamo needed to develop a mobile application for innovative teaching in the field of computational fluid dynamics simulations. The aim was to allow students to be able to perform small CFD tasks directly from their smartphone.

Solution

A mobile app for Android was developed using the Ionic framework in which a numerical solver developed by the University of Bergamo was incorporated. The application gives the possibility of being able to perform numerical simulations on-the-fly on the smartphone and be able to view the solution in 3D.
