AI Workflow for Radiology

Problem

The aim of the project is to develop a desktop application to send, receive and view DICOM images annotated using third-party Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools. The software must be able to interface with PACS servers and be able to manage DICOM images with an intuitive and easy-to-use interface.

The software must also be able to manage the various types of licenses relating to the AI tools with which it will have to communicate.

Solution

A desktop application for managing DICOM images has been developed using our open-source library Larvitar, which allows you to read, view and interact with DICOM images.

The application incorporates an Orthanc-based PACS service, so it can communicate with the image acquisition machine, hospital PACs and artificial intelligence services.
